Daily Disposable Contact Lenses

Daily Disposable Contact Lenses

These lenses are worn for a day and then recycled or thrown away.  They require very little care or solutions and are, therefore, the most convenient.  These are great for children and those who want the best comfort and convenience.  Allergy sufferers, people with dry eyes, and part-time wearers are all good candidates for them as well.

Two Week Disposable Contact Lenses

Two Week Disposable Contact Lenses

These lenses are worn for the day and removed at night, placed into solution after cleaning and worn for 14 days before switching to a fresh pair.  These are great for everyday use or for those wearing lenses over 50% of the time.  Although a great option, there are fewer choices available if you like the idea of changing your lenses every two weeks.

One Month Disposable Contact Lenses

One Month Disposable Contact Lenses

One month disposable contact lenses are lenses that are removed each night, placed into solution after cleaning and replaced every month.  It’s easy to remember when to replace your contacts when the month ends.

Extended Wear Contact Lenses

Extended Wear Contact Lenses

Most of the new contact lenses on the market today are made out of silicone which allows a lot more oxygen to the eye than older materials.  Therefore, many of the newer contact lenses have some availability for overnight wear.  It is important to remember that even though the lenses have that approval, not all patients can tolerate that wearing schedule and if any redness or irritation occurs the lens needs to be taken out immediately.  See the Doctors at Verona Vision Care if your eye has become irritated by the contact lenses.

Gas Permeable Lenses

Gas Permeable Lenses

Gas permeable lenses are a yearly replacement option that provides the wearer very clear vision.  They are a custom order lens and can be made in a wider range of prescriptions than most soft lenses.   Gas permeable lenses are also recommended for the correction of some eye diseases.

Other Specialty Lenses

Other Specialty Lenses

There are several contact lens options in addition to gas permeable lenses that can be used for clearer vision and greater comfort for patients with eye diseases or who have had eye surgeries.  These include Scleral lenses, Duette hybrid lenses, and Kerasoft lenses.
